Sirnaté lázně Ostrožská Nová Ves s.r.o.,

The Sulphurous Spa at Ostrožská Nová Ves lies in the heart of Moravian Slovakia, some 8 km from the district town of Uherské Hradiště. The municipality of Ostrožská Nová Ves is about 1 km from the spa. The spa buildings are surrounded by a forest park covering an area of 10 hectares. Ostrožská Nová Ves is situated in flatland surrounded by the ridge of the White Carpathians from one side and the Chřiby Mountains with the Buchlov Castle as the most prominent feature from the other side.

The history of the spa dates back to 1903 when ThDr František Botek, a countryman, managed to prove the healing effects of the sulphurous water springs rising in a nearby swamp. A small community spa with 6 bath booths and a waiting room was built which over time transformed into a modern spa complex, as it is today.

Refurbishment. In 1995, refurbishment of the spa started. The entire treatment area was redesigned and modernised and new single and double room were built. Om 2001, two spa villas, Vlasta and Šarka, were refurbished. They are located some 50 meters from the main spa building, offering accommodation in double rooms. In 2002, the last stage of the extensive refurbishment took place, as the new wing of the main spa building was built. It accommodates a new catering section with a kitchen and a cafeteria, a rehabilitation pool with sauna, rooms for individual physical exercises, a fit centrale, and new rooms for electrotherapy. On top of that, the accommodation section received 70 new beds in single and double rooms.

Patients stay in single or double rooms in the main spa building. All rooms have a bathroom and a toilet, a cable TV and a direct-dial telephone. There is an elevator in the main spa building. The two villas, Vlasta and Šarka, have double rooms also fitted with a bathroom and a toilet, a cable TV and a direct-dial telephone.
